Summertimes are full with people and winter days are empty and under invasion of homeless cats. It is kinda habit to hangout at Adalar for all Istanbulites when the weather is nice in Istanbul. It is also recommended for getting away from hectic Istanbul traffic because it is not allowed to have motor vehicle around Islands!
The list is prepared to be a guide for your journey around Islands where is like heaven. I’ve also added some neglected beauties to this list instead of some well-known places.
5- SAİT FAİK ABASIYANIK MUSEUM
The museum which is managed by Darüşşafaka opens the house’s doors of Sait Faik Abasıyanık fans for free – rooftop view must be seen.
4- REŞAT NURİ GÜNTEKİN’S HOME
The writer of very important Turkish novels like Çalıkuşu, Yaprak Dökümü and Damga was also a resident of the Island and was living in this building. There is no museum yet but exterior design of the building is a must see.
3- PRINKIPO GREEK ORTHODOX ORPHANAGE
From the sea it looks like a blackened, dark building but its history and constructional importance will amaze you. Climb up again and watch the view from here

2- ST GEORGE MONASTERY
It is very hard to climb up to the hill but it is guaranteed that every wish come true that you’ve wished in here. Just because of the fabulous view you’ve got to be in top of this “Holly Hill” !
1- MUSEUM OF THE PRINCES’ ISLANDS
Local museum is always best place to explore a district. Just now, you can see Houses of God exhibition in Adalar Müzesi.
